Message from the President

To our shareholders and investors, it is my pleasure to share with you our ongoing successes and I wish to thank you most sincerely for your continued support.
Our Group, under the catch phrase “everything for our customer,” has set out to fulfill its basic philosophy: to create life’s grandest celebration, by globally fusing every wedding-related service, from domestic and overseas weddings to attire, beauty, photos, travel and others. In doing so, I believe it is important to continue to keep our focus on what our customers value and to always seek to create something new.
Our unchanging belief in the true meaning of weddings
I think it is essential to never lose sight of the true meaning of weddings when planning management strategies and product and service development. First of all, a wedding is the start of a new life with a new family. It is also a time to share with your partner your feelings of gratitude about your union and to have the opportunity to express these feelings to your family and friends—that is the true meaning of a wedding.
When people want to convey such feelings to others and to have these feelings etched into their hearts, we, Watabe Wedding, must be the ones who are best at creating such moments—and it is in this that I find Watabe Wedding’s existence will be justified and worthwhile.
As we continue to create life’s grandest celebrations
Our Group has grown by keeping up with the changing times right from our founding. First, we expanded into Hawaii and shifted our business domain from an attire rental business to an overseas wedding business. Second, we established the Shanghai factory and initiated the manufacturing business to provide our customers with a brand new collection of dresses. Third, with the inclusion of such facilities as Meguro Gajoen and Mielparque, we grew the domestic wedding business by newly joining those businesses that had centered on overseas wedding services. Now, we are focusing on the East Asian markets and are working to gain customers in such places as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. These changes are proof that we continue to think about what else we can do and that by always listening to our customers we achieve our aim of creating life’s grandest celebration.
From here on, we will strive to expand our market share using such core strengths as our well-established networks, both within and outside of Japan, our personnel assets and our in-house bridal manufacturing capabilities. From a global point of view, we aim to create new and touching moments that move the hearts of our customers both in Japan and throughout Asia.
